OUT 800a--ILLIMO A&E MINI-BITZ (UPDATES)

HEY OUTTOWNERS, HERE ARE SOME MINI BITZ FOR YA DURING OUR SPRING BREAK! The Season premiere of Americas Next Top Model was aired Thursday and one of the fianalists has an ILLIMO background--Jessica, an 18 year old biracial student from St. Louis. She made the Top 13 in Cycle 14 of the show.
UPDATE: Well, our girl Jessica was the first of the 14 to be eliminated on Wednesday's epsiode of America's Next Top Model.
Organizers expect hundreds of thousands of people to line Market Street for this year's FREE St. Patrick's Day Parade this Saturday parade, led by a Marine color guard from the St. Louis-based 3rd Battalion, 24th Regiment. Besides musical marchers and decorated floats, giant cartoon-themed helium balloons will be sure to entertain. The parade moves east on Market Street to Broadway, then south to the Ballpark Village site. We chatted with Joseph McGlynn Jr., the founder of St. Louis' downtown St. Patrick's Day Parade.

UPDATE: We didnt check out the Parade Saturday, but we did see the Parade about to kick off on Tamm Ave. near Oakland Avenue with folk in green and various ST. Pattie's gear Wedensday while traveling to STL-TV.


The one and only pop diva Diana Ross will be making summer nights red hot with her “MORE TODAY THAN YESTERDAY” tour. The legendary icon will perform her greatest hits in this spectacular live show at the Fabulous Fox Theatre Sunday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. This is the first time Diana Ross has performed here in St. Louis as a solo artist.

ADDED:Lindenwood University will tape a 1970s based TV music show,"Marvin Hamlisch Presents:The 70s The Way we were" that will be taped on March 17 for PBS and broadcast in August during its public drive segments. Thirteen national recording artists who were popular in the 1970s will perform. Some include Freda Payne, Peaches and Herb, and TV actress Vicki Lawrence. Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., who was slated to perform on the show,will not perform after McCoo recently broke her hip from falling her Los Angeles home. The show also will feature taped segments featuring significant cultural happenings during each year of the decade. It will be hosted by Grammy Award winning composer,Marvin Hamlisch. The show will be taped at the University's J .Scheidegger Center of the Arts.
