Here are the Top 10 events that made the biggest impact on the city.

9.Nelly's Black Party Tour and 10 Year Anniversary of The "Country Grammar" Album at Home Nightclub by Vibe Magazine July 23 
Before the release of his latest CD, "5.0," Nelly (his first of three appearance on this listing) previewed the first single form it, "Tippin in the Clb" at this tour stop sponsored by Vibe Magazine which was a celebration of Nelly's 10th anniversary of his blockbuster debut CD, Country Grammar." It was held at the now defunct Home Nightclub in Ameristar Casino. Also performing were The St. Lunatics, and St. Louis native rappers Chingy and Gena. Hundreds attended and a couple of scuffles occurred before and during the event that quickly ended before it started.
8.Common at Celebrate St. Louis Summer Concerts (formerly Live on the Levee) at Soldiers Memorial by Celebrate St. Louis July 9 
Several thousand people crowded the outside venue that spanned three blocks to attend this free event. Performing for about an hour during the organizations' newly named event following Fair St. Louis), Chitown's Common was energetic at best along with his dee-jay Grimey as the crowd-- which mixed with convention folk and out of towners mainly from Chicago-- danced and cheered on. And this year, no fireworks were displayed. Opening were STL underground rappers Nato Caliph, Rckwell Knuckels, Tef Poe and Corey Black.

6.The OtherGuys Red Carpet Premiere at 
St. Louis was chosen from 20 cites to be the second premiere of this film (the first being New York) where its stars Will Farrell and Mark Wahlberg would attend (they arrived late reportedly). The massively attended event had its share of fanatics there (people chanting "Meatloaf" and banging cowbells) Celebrities attending were St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith and boxing promoter Don King who was in town for his event Gateway to Greatness. Mayo Francis Slay gave the two stars keys to the city.
